This game that is a favorite among kids but can be included in the list of fun brain games for adults too. For this game, you need to select a common topic or theme, say music. The person who starts the game will say a particular word related to music such as ‘the Beetles’. The person sitting next to him/her has to say another analogical word like the ‘John Lennon’. The words have to be connected to the previous one, but may not stay connected to the original topic. For instance, “John Lennon” may connect to “hippie movement” and the next might be “1960s” and the next “Sandra Dee” and so on. You can see how this game imitates a stream of consciousness, which totally defies the straight-laced, focused left brain. You can try out different topics such as food, or business or even history and geography.
